Just what we've been waiting for... a weekend full of sunshine! We opened up our windows and doors yesterday, but then temperatures reached almost 90 degrees. Once it hit 85 in the house, we resorted to AC.
This weekend's big accomplishment (for both Eli and me) was carrots. I steamed and pureed a bunch. He seemed to like it, and I know he digested some- the proof was in his diaper this morning. I also steamed and pureed sweet potatoes, but we haven't tried those yet. Now we have little ice cube size servings of orange veggies in the freezer. Hello stinky diapers.
We also got to break out some of Eli's summer clothes. Kevin and I were cracking up at his oufit yesterday- blue athletic shorts and a tank top. There's a picture below...check out that muscle definition.
The rest of the weekend was spent playing and cleaning- pretty exciting stuff. Oh yeah, and the NFL draft. Now I am a football fan, but draft weekend always drives me nuts for some reason. I'd rather not watch the long, drawn out process (just hurry up and pick already!) and just read the list the next day. But anyway...
Here are a few more pictures... sitting up... playing in his new toy bin...
Eli has his 6 month appointment tomorrow. I'm excited to see how much he has grown!

Great photo of Eli in the box! He's getting big. N. used to eat lots of sweet potatoes, carrots and squash. Then the doctor said he was looking pretty orange. Make sure you feed him some greens too!
That toy that Eli is playing with we have too and that song is hard to get out of your head...
The animals have something to say....they hoot and holler and chirp all day
and...spin..spin a letter....hahaha
but Alex sure does love that toy!
