Beth at Waypost Photography took our pictures last weekend- fall family shots and 12 month pictures of Eli. We got some great shots and really enjoyed our time with Beth. Don't be surprised if you see one on our Christmas card this year!

Torrence is a Globetrotter, well sort of. He won Best Costume.

Ooooh look. A little bear found his way to my office. He walked around all over the place showing off his costume. Everyday he gets steadier and takes more and more steps. He can go from piece of furniture to piece of furniture. But today he just took off. He walked everywhere- like down long hallways and in and out of offices. He must have taken 60+ steps at a time. He was a walking little bear! He was just so cute. He clapped, he smiled, he charmed.

Then Kevin, Eli, and I went to Smita's house (Eli's sitter) for a Halloween party. There were kids and parents everywhere! All of the kids looked so cute dressed in their costumes. Here are some pics.

Aunt and Uncle Muffin!

Aunt and Uncle Muffin drove all the way to Maryland today to visit us. They brought Eli some awesome birthday presents- a wooden frog pull toy, a "Don't Stop Believin'" t-shirt (so cute), a plush hammer, and a book. Eli loved the frog, and he really loved Dave. They became fast friends.. not that Linsey didn't get her face share of slobbery kisses.

It was so nice of them to come down to visit for a few hours. It was a lot of driving in one day for them. That's why they are the best Aunt and Uncle Muffins. We hope to see you soon!

"This is Uncle Muffin. We're buds."

We celebrated Linsey's birthday early. It isn't until Nov 10, but it's never too early to celebrate a birthday, especially a 30th BIRTHDAY!

Saturday Afternoon

Just enjoying a Saturday with bad weather and nowhere to go. Eli and I spent the morning playing and reading, and he also helped hold the cord while I vacuumed. I made him some yummy pasta with cheese, zucchini, broccoli, and carrots.

He then took a 2 1/2 hour nap. He never really sleeps longer than 2 hours during a nap, so after he hit the 2 hour mark, I checked to make sure he was breathing 3 times. He was a tired little guy. He was up with a fever Thursday night from 2am-4am. He had his 12 month check up earlier that day and got his flu shot and his chicken pox vaccine. His fever came back for a bit Friday, but it seems to be gone for good now.

Eli weighed 22 pounds, 10 ounces (50th percentile) and was 30.5 inches tall (between 50-75% percentiles). I gave him some whole milk today with breakfast, and he slurped it down. But he wasn't interested in any milk at lunchtime. Kevin is home from work and we're all in our comfy clothes ready to watch the Penn State game in a little bit. Here are some pictures from our Saturday afternoon. Go Nittany Lions!

This is my I just woke up from a nap hairstyle.

Party Time (Part 2)

Here are some pictures of the party underway. Everyone was spread throughout the middle and bottom levels of our house. When it was time to sing happy birthday, we all piled into the kitchen to sing and watch to see what Eli would do with his birthday cupcake. He didn't really like all eyes on him. He looked a little nervous and daintily touched the chocolate frosting. Kevin fed him a few bites, but he wanted out of his high chair and back to playing.

Thank you to everyone for celebrating this milestone with us and for your generous gifts. It was great seeing you all and spending time with you!

The party animals- Paul and Gregory Papadimitris, Cameron Khattak, and Conner White

Lilly Barker is 5 days older than Eli and at least 5-7 pounds lighter. She was so sweet and calm. What a difference between boys and girls. We sat them next to each other to take their picture, and Eli took off like a wild man...

...while Lilly sat still like a good little girl!

Eli LOVED this truck from Aunt Jo

He lost interest in all the other gifts and started pushing it around instead
