Merry Christmas!!

We arrived at Mim and Pop's house late Christmas Eve. Eli was up bright and early Christmas morning wearing his new jammies.

"Good morning Christmas! Time to dig into my stocking!"

Here are Mim and Pop opening their presents- a photo printer was their favorite

"Shampoo and lotion! I LOVE shampoo and lotion. I think I will carry these around with me everywhere I go for the rest of the day."

"Oh and these socks, they are delicious."

"Uncle Nathan, knock it off. I'll let you play with my shampoo if you put me down. We've got more presents to open!!"

"Check this out! Mim and Pop bought me this awesome ride on horsey toy. It works with the TV too."

"The box is a great place to push my new truck."

This was one of our gifts from my parents- a 2 day stay at a Bed and Breakfast in Williamsburg.

Eli's new Tonka toy from Uncle Nathan and Katie

"Mim and Pop bought me a donkey towel. Hee Haw!"

"I have a really silly mommy."

"And a REALLY silly uncle"

Nan's here to open her presents

Her new jacket

It was much easier to pose the two of them together last Christmas!

Let's see how many children/felines we can pile on Pop...

Santa Found Our House- A Day Early!

Santa found our house in Urbana and delivered presents for Eli a day early. That Santa is one smart cookie. He knew we'd be in Milton at Mim and Pop's house on Christmas Day, so he managed to deliver Eli's gifts a day early!

Just as we suspected, Eli was interested in eating the paper, although he was pretty good at opening gifts. He got a Bee Bop Band, some CDs, a more advanced shape sorter, and the Little People Nativity among other things. That Santa is also pretty thrifty. It turns out that Eli's cousin Mina was the owner of that slide and she had outgrown it. Santa decided to bring it to Eli. He got a big kick out of the slide. He drove his cars up and down it and watched me push the cars down the slide.

"Let's make some music! Grab the tambourine Dad!"

"Hey, let's take a break from opening presents and look at this book that I've had forever."

We decided to start a tradition with Eli- each Christmas Eve he'll get to open a new pair of jammies. They were all washed and ready to wear Christmas Eve night.

"Dad, check it out! It's the Nativity scene. I bet there is a donkey in here!"

"Check out my sweet slide!"

"It's great for driving cars."

"Thanks for the help Mom"

"Holy moly, this thing is fast!"

"More sliding please!"

Look, there's an Asian Little Person.

Christmas Eve with Cousins

We went to Kevin's cousin Lisa's house for Christmas Eve dinner. Here is Eli with his cousin Mina and Lisa's kids, Isabella (3 mos) and Lucas (3).

I Love This Boy

Christmas Pictures

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!

It's been pouring snow here since about 10pm last night. We're up to about 18 inches right now, and it's still snowing. This might turn into the Blizzard of 2009! Kevin's been out shoveling a couple times, but the road in front of our house has only been cleared once. It's absolutely beautiful, and it's been nice being stuck at home all day in sweats.

Check out the pictures of our deck!

Baby!!

My friend Melissa gave birth to her first child, a son named Evan Stanley. She had a LONG labor. I was blog-stalking her all day on Wednesday (she was induced that morning) only to go to bed that night with no word of a baby. Evan finally arrived the next day at 6:41 a.m. weighing in at 8lbs. 15oz. and 20.5in long.

Congratulations Melissa and Stan. We're so happy for you.

Random Cuteness

Kevin and I got a new camera for Christmas. We were testing it out today on Eli. Here are some random shots of his cuteness.
