Soccer Star!

Eli just completed a soccer program, and he was super excited to get a medal today. He decided to display it by hanging it from our mantle. :)

Why play with just one puzzle...

...when you can play with 10... at the same time!?

Green Meadows Petting Farm

My friend Renee dropped off a Groupon to Green Meadows Petting Farm. We decided to go on Saturday which turned out to be a perfect day. The farm is only five minutes away from our house, but we had never been there before. Eli was a little hesitant as you can tell from the first picture. He wasn't interested in the goats or the llamas. "I fink this is close enough!" Oddly enough, he wanted to milk the enormous cow. Then after that, he was good to go. He wanted to pet chickens and piggies and rabbits and guinea pigs.

The farm had a hayride which all three boys enjoyed. We topped off the day with a trip to Jimmy Cone for ice cream. It was a really fun day. Thanks Renee! (When I told Eli we were going to the petting farm, he said, "Do you mean the one that Callan and Kinswey went to? That farm?")

Hands to yourself Ry

Spencies

Sweet little Spencer. It's hard to tell in these pictures, but he has a head full of curls. So cute. Spencer has learned some new words. He says "Hi", "Daddy", "Ma" (while signing 'more'), "ca" (cat), "ah" (yay). He also sometimes mimicks words that we say, but he doens't do those on command.

We've been having rough nights with him for the last 2 weeks. Both he and Ryan are cutting molars, and it seems to be affecting Spencer more than Ryan. Ryan has cried out a couple times at night. He settles right away, but Spencer is up then and is much more difficult to settle.

Spencie's a fantastic eater- he tries almost anything that we give him and usually likes it. If I sit down with a snack, both boys come flying over and sit at my feet like little puppies waiting for a bite. Spencer's defense mechanisms are hair pulling and biting- both effective in warding off brothers about to take a toy.

Oh Boy.

My sweet Eli has come up with some doozies lately. Here's the latest...

As I was folding his sheets, he held up the top cover and said, "This is the cover that I use to cover me when I need to be covered."    Well, ok then.

Eli's been starting to tattle lately. He also tends to exaggerate the offenses. As in... "Mommy, Spencer just broke my face."  And was followed a little later with, "Mommy! Ryan cut my knee off. Please tell him not to cut my knee off."

Eli was telling me that he showed his friends his boo-boo on his arm. He said, "But it's ok now. It melted."

Roosies

Little Ryan is a busy boy. He's always on the move. Right now he's into the following:
+
1. everything (haha)
2. climbing into the (full) bathtub BEFORE I get his diaper off
3. pushing Spencer out of his way
4. ramming his walker toys into Spencer to move him out of his way
5. saying uh-oh whenever anyone drops anything
6. not even wanting to try new foods
7. pushing through screen doors
8. pretending to talk on the phone/
9. drooling excessively and cutting molars
10. turning the tv on/off/changing channels/recording random episodes

We have a Walker!

On April 28, Ryan stood up in the middle of the room and took maybe 5 steps all by himself. The next day, he took about 20. Then he was off. It's so funny seeing this little shortie walking all over the house!
