Eli has been communicating at a new level lately. He seems to be connecting a lot of ideas and can put phrases together- understanding opposites and pairs and things like that. Here are a few examples of the things we hear around the house these days.
“Mommy’s car white. Daddy’s car black.”
Where do Mim and Pop live Eli?
“Milton!”
Who else lives in Milton?
“Nan. Jo.”

"Eli, Mommy, Daddy, Gracie live Urbana."
“Where is orange vacuum?”
It’s at home Eli.
“Oh. Orange vacuum sleeping…closet.”
Running 100mph with book in hand, he jumps up and now says “read this book mommy”
After sneezing, he said “Eli sneeze. Bless you Eli.”
He came over to me and laid down on the boppy pillow and said “change diaper.” Then he jumped up and said “not blue side” (of the pillow)… “striped side” and flipped the pillow over.
The most frequent word out of his mouth is “where?” If he doesn’t see something right away, he immediately says “where?”
When I dropped him off at Smita’s house, her husband Deepak’s car wasn’t in the driveway. I got Eli out and he says “Mommy, where Deepak car?”
He didn’t want to go to bed last night, and said “no sleepies. Sound machine off. Downstairs!”
Kevin made an upholstered headboard for our room while Eli was visiting my parents last week. Eli noticed it Monday morning and said “what’s that?” I said, that’s a new headboard that Daddy made. He did a great job and worked very hard. Kevin came back in the room and sat of the bed. Eli looked at him and said, “Nice job Daddy.”

He can sing most of "Baa Baa Black Sheep" by himself now, although he prefers a duet with Mommy.
