Eli and I were planning on spending some time yesterday at my friend Christine's house for a playdate with her daughter Julia. Poor Julia got a stomach bug overnight and they had to cancel.
Eli came down with something during the morning yesterday- runny nose and cough. He seemed to get worse as the day went on. He got an early bath and then we all watched a Mickey House movie together. He was up about 6-7 times last night and didn't feel much better this morning. So we're going through a box of tissues today like nobody's business and pulling out some Christmas decorations.
Eli likes the Little People Nativity set we got him last year for Christmas. We set it up to play with and he likes the baby Jesus and the donkey, which to Kevin's dismay, he called the "baby horse."
So on my list of things to get done this weekend, I think only one got checked off. But I am spending some time with Eli snuggling, painting, coloring, reading, and vacuuming. And that's time well spent.
